May 26th - Getdown Goes Live: Rodney P PA / Kidulthood DVD Launch: We’ve gotten all patriotic. May 26th sees two quality British exports. The Getdown Live session (last Friday of every month) is given up to 1Xtra’s Rodney P. One of the UK’s most consistent artists he is a performer and presenter of the highest caliber. Alongside this we will be celebrating the DVD launch of one of the UK’s best independent film. So all the free goodness, including give away soundtracks and DVDs will be available on the night.
June 23rd - Gold Seal ‘Different Worlds Video’ Launch Party:
3 Face’s debut video ‘Different World’ is a sublime entry into a scene saturated by ‘bling,’ jaded by chav culture and held back by the misogyny and ‘gangsta’ stereotyping. 3 Face, not surprisingly has 3 sides; the ferocious battle rapper, thoughtful lyricist and the community based label Gold Seal that helped to foster his talent.
