| Online clubbers worldwide unite to select their own user generated album of the year’s biggest floor fillers. |
Everybody loves democracy and thanks to the internet people power grows ever stronger, uniting clubbing communities, DJs and music lovers across the globe and providing an easy facility for musical opinions to be voiced and accounted for.
Defected Records makes good use of this opportunity and has reached out to its extensive network of fans to ask the question ‘What has been your biggest track of the year?’
The result is the first user generated dance album of its kind.
An album made up of tracks that have been voted for by the public, for the public and that reflects the true sound of the world’s dance floors over the past 12 months.
This album is Most Rated 2009 a collection of the year’s biggest club anthems democratically voted for by you.
The good news is that voting is still open: Visit www.defected.com/mostrated and select your own favourite tracks from the shortlist, to not only make your vote count, but to also be in the running to win a specially engraved 32G iPod touch, a personalised gold disc of your favourite track of the year andplenty of other Defected goodies. Take note though, voting closes Nov 30th.
Once you’ve clicked through you will find 50 of this year’s biggest tracks that we consider to be the crème de la crème of releases from Defected and beyond. Here you will be prompted to make your own personal ratings.
The tracks with the highest average ratings get included in the final release.
Tracks awaiting your approval include productions from superstars such as Axwell, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso & Laidback Luke, Erick Morillo, Frankie Knuckles, The Shapeshifters, Underworld and Faithless.
In addition there are also two huge exclusives, the yet to be released buzz track from Dennis
Ferrer ‘Hey Hey’ and Reboot ‘Enjoy Music’, both tipped by the dance press as late contenders for tracks of the year.
The album is presented unmixed and totally DJ friendly and is without question the true representation of clubland’s biggest records from the last 12 months.
