Boss Records team leave MOS to start 3 Beat Productions with Universal: 06.08.07 |
After 5 very successful years working with Ministry Of Sound, the team behind Boss Records have decided not to renew the contract between the two companies. Instead, in conjunction with Universal Music and with immediate effect, the team headed by 3 Beat Records founder Jon Barlow in London, together with A & R Director Anton Powers and Label manager Tim Condran, both based in Liverpool, are to launch a new label, 3 Beat Productions.
The new label will consist of two separate sub labels, 3 Beat Blue and 3 Beat Red. 3 Beat Blue will focus on cooler, funky house and electro releases, while 3 Beat Red will release the tougher ‘commercial / scouse house’ sound.
Since its conception as part of the 3 Beat group of labels, Boss Records has signed and released some of the biggest commercial and club hits of recent years including national top 10 chart hits such as; Mason vs Princess Superstar ‘Perfect Exceeder’, Studio B ‘I See Girls’ and Angel City ‘Love Me Right’ and ‘Do You Know’. Alongside the chart hits, the label has been responsible for some of the biggest tunes from the nation’s dancefloors, from artists such as; Todd Terry, Antoine Clamaran, Tocadisco, Aaron Smith, Mischa Daniels, Henrik B, Sebastian Leger, Alex Gaudino and many more.

Reflecting the strong work ethos of those behind the company, 3 Beat Productions is hitting the ground running with a number of strong releases lined up for the rest of the year.
