Formed earlier this year, Guru Josh Project has been created by three individuals with a love and passion for electronic music and old skool 90’s rave. Featuring Guru Josh himself, DJ-producer Darren Baile and fellow producer SnakeByte, their aim is to bring back the magic of the last decade’s dance scene with a fresh take on Guru Josh’s anthemic worldwide smash Infinity.
Born as an underground anthem in Manchester’s famous Hacienda Club, Guru Josh’s Infinity grew to become the biggest dance record of 1990 selling millions of copies and breaking charts worldwide. The standout cut with the dreamy saxophone became one of the first acid house crossover hits ever hitting no.5 in the UK charts a becoming a true genre classic!
Initially signed by Frankfurt record label Big City Beats, Infinity 2008 is currently
smashing Germany, hitting top 10 in the official Media Control German sales charts from download sales alone and is ready to aim higher when the CD single is released. This enormous anthem is now set for UK & Eire release by New State / Maelstrom Records and features the chart busting Klaas vocal edit, the club cracking Klaas mix, as well as the dirtier but equally hot, Jerome Isma-Ae Remix.
Infinity 2008 has joined Radio 1’s prestigious A list and also hit no. 1 this week in the influential Shazam tag chart off club plays and early radio spins alone.
With HUGE support rolling in from a wide selection of radio and club big-hitters including Pete Tong, Scott Mills, Sarah Cox, Tiësto, Roger Sanchez and Moby to name a few, get set to watch this release grow to epic proportions!
