Details: Alex (AKA Bagnasty) made his debut EP on Carioca records in Jan 2006, of which one of the tracks featured on Yousefs' Renaissance Frontiers mix compilation, and he released his second EP to critical acclaim in the latter part of 2006.
2006 saw Alex Wolfenden take up a residency at one of the most famous and influential DJ booths on the planet, Ibiza’s Cafe Mambo. Having the world’s most sought after bar residency playing everything that inspires him and his productions (from classical music to techno and all stops in between) while supporting every major dj under the sun, has projected Alex's name on a global scale making him one of the hottest young producer/DJs on offer right now.
Alex became the first (and still) resident DJ at the award winning Circus club at The Masque (now barfly) in Liverpool. This residency has seen Alex support a number of big name acts from Laurent Garnier to Kenny Dope to and many more too.
Alex has been producing for several years now and has worked with the likes of Nick Fanculli, MYNC, Sarah Main and Yousef. And already remixed and co produced International artists such as Fat Boy Slim, Style of Eye and Harry Choo Choo Romero with more collaborations to come.
Tear Drop – “This track is inspired from the main room at Circus, crazy energy with a twisted edge of electronica. The vocals are written and sang by myself.”
Crash Mess – “I made this track with Dan Ward a producer from Leeds who has an album due out on WAXON (Nightmares On Wax) later on this year. This is a definite DC10 dance floor mover.”
Bread and Butter - “I conceived this track over in Australia with Garry Todd and Travis who play at the Legendary LADY LUX in Kings Cross Sydney. Why Bread & Butter? Because this is the name of their minimal tech Friday night. Definitely one to drop 5am in the morning to send them all over the edge.”
Daft Back – “This is a breaks style track I sang on and played. Trying to give a respectful tip of the hat to the "Homework" album from (Daft Punk). Fat, funky, warm with no with an electronic 80’s feel.”
