Details: For their first compilation of 2008, Global Underground welcomes to the helm one of electronic music’s most audacious auteurs, Felix Da Housecat; and with the 2 CD mix centred on Felix’s love affair with Europe’s fashion capital, Milan, you know you’re in for something uniquely special – music with both style and substance.

A groundbreaking visionary whose unrelenting contribution to electronic music has spanned the past 20 years, Felix is currently baiting daytime UK airwaves with his latest single, ‘Radio’. Already a ‘Hottest Record In The World’ for Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and a staple in the shows of Pete Tong, Rob Da Bank, and many more, ‘Radio’ is lifted from his recent artist album, ‘Virgo Blaktro & The Movie Disco’, an impressive long-player that has further enhanced his pedigree.

Two-time Grammy-nominated Felix has long maintained a presence beyond the prism of dance music – his collaborations cross the spectrum between P.Diddy and LCD’s James Murphy; critics and bloggers alike have cited him as a worthy heir apparent to the greats of modern black music, recognising that his contributions have followed in the lineage begun by figures such as Sly & The Family Stone, Parliament, and Prince.

Following on from 2001’s ‘Kittenz And Thee Glitz’ (the album that unwittingly spawned electroclash and the worldwide crossover club hit ‘Silver Screen’), and 2004’s ‘Devin Dazzle & The Neon Fever’, ‘Virgo Blaktro…’ tapped into his roots, but equally took him off into new directions, making him as relevant as ever for a 21st century dancefloor.

Inspired by one of the world’s most beautiful cities, ‘Milan’ reaffirms Felix Da Housecat as part of a special breed of DJ. A stunning addition to the finest DJ mix series on the planet, this is over 2 hours worth of music that deserves pride of place on your player.

In a typically Geordie coup, ‘Milan’ has the Shinichi Osawa remix of Felix’s ‘Radio’, other audio highlights include Chip E ‘It's House, Josh Wink ‘Thick As Thieves‘, Thomas Bangalter ‘Outrage’, Armando ‘151’, Dubfire ‘Emissions’, Boys Noize ‘Shine Shine’, Felix Da Housecat Vs. Diddy ‘Jack U (Angelo & Ingrosso Remix), Model 500 ‘No UFOs’, Kris Menace Feat Fred Falke ‘Fairlight’
