After being invited to the last Quite party of the year we descended on an exquisite Belgravia Mansion over looking the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

Reading up on this event before hand as to avoid disappointment we were lead to believe that we would enter an indulgence of beautiful people and some of the smoothest sounds from around the more glamorous side of the house world. And to be sure we were not to be disappointed, with a setting that most promoters would die for and a line-up of dj's producing an array of fine US house beats and R 'n' B across the two dance floors.

The layout of the venue is as follows, with downstairs featuring the Club Gallery and bar with a surrounding not to dissimilar to a lounge style wine bar, and a small chill out room lit in a wash of red with complementary beanbags. Upstairs slightly larger than the former offers two bar areas one of which is VIP which in it self offers comfortable seating and surroundings. The Grand Gallery can be found upstairs offering a larger area for those beautiful people to strut their fantastic stuff.

Quite has two main rooms in which to offer up their sounds with the Grand Gallery offering Sexy US House accompanied by excellent live percussion and the Club Gallery offering Funk, Rare Groove, & R'n'B.

I must admit my own roaming was fairly limited to around the upstairs segment of the venue and thus I can't speak much about the quality of the music downstairs. However the appearances that I did make in this area were rewarded with a healthy quality of sounds.

The Grand Gallery upstairs offered up some fine funky, US House beats with the wonderful compliment of the live percussion, however at times this slightly over powered. In all top marks for the music on offer.

The venue itself not being a purpose built takes some time to travel around and one thing I would suggest to anyone attending this venue is to take a trusty compass and brush up on your orienteering skills. I say this, as a walk to the toilets is not as simple as one would first believe.

With plenty of seating on offer throughout the venue the whole event is played out to offer total comfort and ease with your surroundings. The only shame was the fact that the night ended so soon, with the event closing at 2am. However with a diverse attendance this probably suited most in appearance with a 50/50 split between people wishing to continue their night else where at the close and those wishing to take the party back to their own dwellings.

If your looking for a change of scenery from the purpose built, 'get as many in as we can' type of venue then this should be quite a healthily choice.
