2008 will be the best year yet for Kinky Malinki as one of the UK’s best known and respected parties reaches the grand-young age of ten years old.
Ten years is quite a long time, infact a whole decade’s worth of living all in all, a not-inconsiderable period of time spent doing what you know and love best. Some people choose to spend this time in education, learning how to knit or decorating a really large house, but for the guys at Kinky Malinki’s HQ, it’s been an undulating ride in creating one of the best house brands in the world.
Because whilst other clubs get a bit flabby around the paunch and red eyed from all the late nights, Kinky Malinki continues to set a pace that very few can match, let alone rival, and all this from a brand which continues to proudly be independent. Boasting residencies around the world and closer to home, Kinky Malinki is celebrating its tenth year with a year’s worth of parties spanning the globe in 2008, parties which will take in many of the great global clubs, from Egypt to Dubai, from Australia to Miami, from London to Shanghai.
Paul Crane, Kinky Malinki’s founder and director, say that:
“It’s going to massive for us and we have got some really exciting parties on the horizon. A lot of things are coming together just at the right time – we are going back to Ibiza, the first time for 4 years, we have got some great tours lined up to far flung parts of the world plus will be holding a tenth anniversary tour which will culminate in the actual 10th birthday party in late October 2008. Everyone’s worked so hard toward making Kinky Malinki what it is today and if feels extra special that we have reached ten years. All I can say is bring on the next ten! But yes 2008 will be very special for everyone.”

With Shake rapidly staking a claim to becoming Edinburgh's hottest and one of its busiest Sunday club nights Easter Sunday see's one of the world’s biggest and most enduring club brands Kinky Malinki crashing the party as Mark Robinson joins DJ John Hutchison (Shake / Tokyoblu, Sophistifunk) for a genre worrying fusion of big room electro, funk-assed house anthems, original mash-ups and full on hands-in-the-air club classics, backed up by Saxing on live sax and DMG on percussion along with a Kinky Malinki Decor job. Expect a roadblock queue and a one very large party indeed! |
